stillness speaks - 1

ulu yam river, hulu kelang, photo by alison, canon a20

my friend in heart anna, sent me scanned pages from stillness speaks, as i read, something stirred inside and tears started rolling down my cheeks. it's truth and beauty woke every cell in my body, my being. by just reading the few pages, i can feel oneness with mother earth.

i have always loved nature and love being in the wild and free spirited stillness of her womb, her love and innocence. she judge nor blame no one, she is as she is... just being.

i will in my next few posts share with you the lovely words from the book, hope you'll find peace and insights reading them.

***

we depend on nature not only for our physical survival. we also need nature to show us the way home, the way out of the prison of our own minds. we got lost in doing, thinking, remembering, anticipating - lost in a maze of complexity and a world of problems.

we have forgotten what rocks, plants, and animals still know. we have forgotten how to be - to be still, to be ourselves, to be where life is: Here and Now.
