today's affirmation:
i know i can

went for a talk friday night, "dream a little dream" by tony fernandes. awesome, inspiring, funny and just simply amazing! this guy (he's a dato' mind you, but truly a down to earth person), with no knowledge of the aviation industry, with little money and no connection to any politicians, started airasia, a budget no frills airline which is now an international carrier and the largest low cost carrier in asia! all he has is a dream, a dream so big that fills the entire sky. the most recent news being that sir richard branson (of virgin altantic airways) will take a 20 per cent stake in airasia long-haul budget carrier, which means bringing in more bigger air bus and flying to more destinations.

his message was clear and i quote"dare to dream and don't take no for an answer!"

saturday was spent with these wonderful talented kids in a recording studio. i was assigned to take some photos of these kids. they chanted some buddhist suttas to be produced as cds. they worked so hard and have such sweet voices! i love the little girl in the middle, gillian. she's only eight years old and oh my... such angelic voice!

it was an honour to be part of this great work of these children. truly.

  1. dreams are what makes the world go around. When we give up our dreams we give up ourselves.
The energy from those kids can be felt as you look on them
    Thank You

  2. In line with Dato's message, I'd like to share with you this quote:

"He that is over-cautious will accomplish little." - F.V. Schiller -

  4. What a great weekend! First, inspiration from one who dared to dream and achieved soaring success. Then, inspiration from those whose dreams are just beginning...and haven't yet been dampened by life's limits and disappointments. Uplifting!
