create simple happy

today's affirmation:
i am complete, i am enough, i am loved. thank you!

there has been this heavy energy looming around lately, a negative gloom doom kinda feel to it. now, being a sensitive, these collective consciousness energy can really get me down, feeling down right ughhh!

yes, the world seems bleak, economy is going down hill, the political scenario is not pretty, and the weather is turning upside down. financially, many people are feeling the pinch. yes, i am feeling it too.

i only know these bits and pieces reading headlines from the news, but i really do not know what is going on. here in malaysia, there's a big hoo haa in the state of perak, which until now i have no idea what is it all about exactly.

even when times are tough, if you really sit and reflect upon your life, right now, this very moment, as you are sitting reading this, you are complete. you are enough. you have everything. you may find that happiness is simply being in the now, enjoying the simple things in life, and isn't that truly a blessing?

it is during these hard times that we need to create a deep sense of appreciation of all that is good in our lives. being grateful in the beauty in the simple, ordinary everyday activities.

a simple cup of tea while reading your favorite blogs
a simple dinner with a dear friend
a simple play time with your children or pets
a simple alone time cooking, sewing, gardening, painting whatever your creative work may be
a simple shower after a long day at work

you may be surprise how much pleasure it will bring you to reflect the goodness in simple everyday things. for we are always living in abundance and beauty, only the limitation in our thoughts prevent us from having it.

we are complete, we are enough. we are loved.

  5. How beautifully said, Alison. And very wisely too!

You know, the first thing I do in the morning is grab a cup of coffee, open the TV and watch both local and foreign news networks. There's this lure for me to find out whatever putrid else is totally wrong in the planet, right now, real time he!he!

No wonder I'm finding it hard to breath.Hmmm....
