we have a studio

studio, canon 350d

there is nothing so powerful as an idea whose time has come
~victor hugo~

we've moved.
well not house, but rooms. our once master bedroom is now our home office or studio. i've always wanted a studio (so i am calling it our studio :D) and gene has always wanted bigger space. it was back breaking for a couple of evenings to dismantle the bed and tables and what nots, carrying stuff up and down the stairs. the odd part is that our wardrobe is still upstairs, in the studio, as it is too big to move it to the bedroom downstairs.

it's so much brighter than the room downstairs, which is good to work in.

kiki has got her own spot too, a box for her in a corner next to my table. but she usually sleeps on the rocking chair next to her box. sleeping is her full time job!

looking forward to this weekend as i'll be going out with kylie for some girly shopping. i'm on with a new project. we both are. a fun one. can't wait.

happy deepavali and happy weekend everyone

  1. nice. I LOVE the idea of swapping rooms. I never knew why bedrooms needed to be big - they are for sleeping and well other activities too!!

    enjoy your new space.

  4. Hello Alison,
Good for you!!!! I did same thing a a few months ago. I turned our old computer room into my art studio and I love it!!!! I also keep all my new age and divination tools in there, with a big pillow on the floor for divination and meditation practices, when I'm not painting in there.
    Enjoy your new room!!!!!!!
    Have a great weekend,
    Lydia
