ginger tea and 8.9.10

in the comments of my previous post, soraya suggested ginger tea, and i went "hey, i've got ginger!" and so that's what i did. i dug up fresh young ginger from my garden. gave them a wash and a scrub...

cut them up and crush them a little.

pour boiling water, roughly half teaspoon organic raw cane sugar (or honey), add mint leaf for a tinge of minty aroma and taste and i had myself a refreshing ginger tea. it.was.good. thanks soraya!

i used the leftovers from the plant to make my own cupboard deodorizer or cockroach repellent. here's how: strip the leaves and cut up the stems (nothing goes to waste), give the leaves a little squishy crushed, and crushed the the stems a little too for the gingery smell. placed them in little "bird's nest" bottles or any tiny bottles that don't take up too much space.

placed them in the cupboards for your very own cupboard deodorizer. i also use lemon grass, pandan leaves, curry leaves and even lime leaves, any herbs with herb-y smell. you can place them anywhere, especially places that tend to have that musty smell, works well. remove or replaced when the aroma is gone.

i have news that i will announce soon, yes... something to do with 8.9.10, can you guess what it is? i've been working on it for a while now. i am pretty excited but trying to act cool, duh! i wanted to write sooner about it but have to refrain myself, you know the just in case it doesn't work out thing. it's nothing big but i am happy that it's happening. a mondo beyondo! speaking of which... mondo beyondo's new session starts 30 august, see the mondo beyondo button up there on the sidebar, click on it to learn more or sign up and start dreaming big!

more soon.
