perfection and imperfection

joining the fun over at brené brown's in celebration of her new book "the gifts of imperfection". hope to get a chance to reading it some day.

love this: "perfectionism is a a twenty-ton shield that we lug around thinking it will protect us when, in fact, it's the thing that's really preventing us from taking flight."

here's my take:
not to resist perfection nor imperfection, just embrace what is.
and loving oneself is the most wonderful thing one can do to oneself, and after that spread and share with the rest of the world, prefect or not.

sis and i with our sign.
talking of perfection, she blinked!

we are here to experience life, enjoy!

  1. Leave perfection for God. Aim for 'good enough'.

  3. Hah! You two are both adorable! And yes, don't we all struggle with the illusion of perfection. Wait, maybe not entirely illusion, but delusion as well. I know a number of times wherein I've insisted someone do something just the perfect way from my point of reference just because I happen to be an expert in that area. So it's a combination of both, which makes it doubly frustrating.

It's a life lesson for this year for me. Everything that I wanted perfect crumbled. And in the ashes of it all, I focused on how imperfect I am even in the art of imperfection itself! Arg, what utter nonsense!

It's lovely that you are so open to the lessons of life. It's refreshing to see such happy happy pretty faces!•♥•´¯`•.¸¸.♥ •♥•
