i've been having stomach discomfort for a few days now and decided to make myself lemongrass tea. lemongrass tea helps with the digestive system and has a calming effect. you can read a whole bunch of other benefits here. i love the sweet smelling of lemongrass.
that's our lemongrass plant on the left. on the right is a umm... very skinny lemon tree.
chop everything up, the leaves too. with me busy in the kitchen, kiki comes to check out what's going on.
and we played a bit. kiki and the lemongrass leaf.
let it boil, then simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
ready to drink. hot lemongrass tea. i add a little bit of honey. having mine with vegetarian nyonya millet dumpling. millet is gluten free and easy to digest.
i let the rest to cool and will chill in the refrigerator and drink later.
