Autumn Sunday

After a wet and grey week, the weather dicided to treat us to the most beautiful Sunday!

Kiki had the chance to go out to the lawn and she ran wild and happy, and she climbed the trees! Way up! She was besides herself! Which gave us a good laugh.

Then we saw the most beautiful Monarch butterfly! It flew and rested on the leaves. By the time I ran into the house to get my camera, it had danced and flew away. This was the only photo that I got. Bright orange wings against the green leaves and blue sky was spectacular!

We were suppose to be out doing our shopping but the weather screamed and begged us to ditch that plan and we headed to the park to find some lovely autumn colours. Most trees in Auckland are green all year round, so we had to "find" autumn.

And we did find Autumn.

Orange, yellow, red, brown...

Such beautiful colours!

And we were beside ourselves...

We were all a little crazy happy this beautiful Autumn Sunday!

  2. Yay - shopping can wait!! Even though I know all about it, it's still sometimes hard to fathom that you guys are heading into winter just as we are gearing up for summer.... the way of the world!

    1. Being in a different country and experiencing the different environment really wake up the senses.
