Weekend wandering 1

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday, we headed out for a mini adventure... Te Henga (Bethells Beach). Te Henga means sand. The black sands contain titanomagnetite, derived from the volcanic rocks of Taranaki.

  1. Lucky you going to the beach for a stroll. I always think that black sand looks wrong as it should be yellow. Flighty xx

    1. The reason i cannot take my eyes off the sand, it's beautiful! it sparkles and glitters from an angle, i've never seen anything like it before.
