Making progress

I have finally finished editing my Etsy Shop photos, giving it some life, adding tiny bits of nature. It was laborious and time consuming but I like the new look. What do you think?
The work is not done yet (is it ever?) I am still learning about the ways of selling online and along the way I've met and became friends with some really nice artists and crafters in the virtual community. I hope to share about them and their work with you some day.

I scored this hand carved wood blocks for print making at one of the markets. I am so excited to start playing with them, but first I need to get some supplies, fabric and fabric paint, then I can make my own fabric prints to make them into journal covers. My own fabric prints for journal covers! How cool is that?

Other creative stuff happening around here lately is that I've enrolled myself into sewing class. I'm into week three, making a shopping bag. My sewing skill is um... shall I say... still a work in progress, I can't even sew a straight line and everything is wonky!

Learning to cook new dishes is another thing I'm playing around with at home. I've tried a few new recipes, but in the end Gene and I still love our usual green veggies, sambal and curry.

Kiki? well, she's been an angel as she is. She loves to snuggle up with me whenever she gets the chance, such a baby! So thankful that she's here with us.

We're expecting another guest this month and more markets for me to go to. Come 'like' my facebook page for more photo updates. I've just posted a photo of my first outdoor market in Coastesville. What a fun experience!

  3. What a coincidence! I was just talking about how i finally got a sewing machine yesterday and ... it's a lot more complicated than what i thought it would be. :)) I have no idea how i'm going to learn how to sew a straight line if i'm not taking any classes, but hopefully... one day... with lots of practice... :D
