New journals and weekend gardening

This week I manage to list a few new journals in my Etsy store and also Felt storeIMG_20150909_00781
I've added a ceramic button with cotton cord as wrapped around closure for this journal.

I sold one of this design and relisting a new one I made recently.

The same goes with this design, re-listing a new book of a similar design, as with shibori tie dye, no two patterns are identical.

This feather journal is listed in my Felt store. I'm trying to list more books in my Felt store, hopefully in time for gift giving season that's coming soon.

My weekend gardening...

Received my order of seed patatoes in the post this week. Most nurseries here sell them in plastic bags of a kilo or more, that's too many for me to start with, so I ordered 6 from Garden Post. It came with an instrcution of how to plant them. I'm following the instruction of chitting the patatoes.

They are sitting in an egg carton in the garage now.

Meanwhile... our tulips are blooming! What a joy to see these beautiful flowers, brings back memories of our time in Amsterdam in 2008.

The carrots are sprouting...

After the wet and wild weather we've been having, these tiny seedlings pushed through. The spring onions still have not appear though.

Next to the spring onions I've planted some beet root, a cerry tomato with parsley and basil as companion.

In another bed, the kales are in.

I've re-planted and repotted the strawberries. With only one ripe fruit last year, hopefully with more care this year it will reward me with more than one :)

Have a good week!

  1. I like the look of that feather journal. Lovely tulips, I've bought some red and white ones which I'll grow in pots.
All the vegetables are looking good, and your carrots are off a great start. I hope that your strawberries do better this year.
Thanks, and you too. Flighty xx
