Capturing garden in my journal

I'm documenting tiny slices of joy of my garden in my journal. Little everyday magic that fills my  heart with gratitude. This is our little blueberry bush, currently in season with heaps of fruits. Every morning as I empty my kitchen scraps into our compost bin, which is where the blueberry is sitting next to, I'd stop and check and pick the ripe ones and pop them in my mouth, or when I'm working in the garden, I'd often divert to the bush to pick some to eat. Simple pleasures :)

Dyed some shibori fabric this week, and I've made some journal covers with them.

Right now they all resting in the press while I cut and fold papers.

Gene made me this strawberry coverings with some salvaged wood and chicken wire. It is perfect, the birds can't get to the strawberries now. I've also planted the runners which have been growing like crazy.

Hopefully the roots will grow and settle in soon, I'll then cut the "cords" from the parent plants.

There's plenty to do in the garden but I'm not sure what I'll be doing this weekend. We shall see when the time comes.

Happy weekend!
