New journals for General Collective Market

I have been making lots of new journals in preparation for General Collective Market next weekend. Feels like a mini factory in the studio, a one person do all factory.

New journals, a New Zealand map, a fantail (piwakawakawa) and a deer. All hand stamped and sewn on black linen with hemp twine as wrap closure.

A closeup of the deer journal.

More kiwiana journals, on left is Tuis and kowhai, on right is Tuis and pohutukawa.

Daffodils or jonquils or narcissus finally popping up. I wonder why do they have so many names?

Some shibori journals all ready for next weekend.

Cutting and folding papers... these are mini journals in the making.

The completed mini journals. A mix of shibori and also some random colour fabric.

No gardening this weekend, so much to do for market and also Recycled Bookmaking Workshop that will be starting in September. More on that on another post.

Have a lovely weekend!
